A free lookup service for identifying the registered organisation behind a MAC address prefix.

Purpose

macvendors.co.uk helps network engineers, support teams, students and home users interpret MAC addresses found in switch tables, ARP output, DHCP logs and device inventories. It provides single lookups, bulk extraction with CSV export, and a public REST API.

The current database contains 54,266 IEEE assignments across 24, 28, and 36-bit prefixes and 30,787 distinct registry organisation names.

What a result means

A result identifies the organisation registered for the prefix. It does not prove who made, owns or currently operates a device. Prefixes may be used across product ranges, reassigned within an organisation, or hidden by locally administered and randomised addresses.
